11.5.4.20. rheia.CASES.H2_MOBILITY.h2_mobility.Evaluation.evaluation
- Evaluation.evaluation()
This is the main method of the Evaluation class. For each hour, the power management strategy is applied. The hydrogen demand is extracted from the hydrogen tank, when sufficient hydrogen is available in the tank. When the hydrogen in the tank does not comply with the hydrogen demand, the power to run the electrolyzer array and compressor is calculated to generate and compress the remaining hydrogen. To generate this power, the photovoltaic power is called upon first. If necessary, the remaining power is covered by the grid. When excess photovoltaic power is present, this power is used to generate and compress hydrogen in the electrolyzer array and compressor, respectively. Finally, the lifetime, cost and CO2-emission of the system are quantified.
- Returns
True when the capacity of the electrolyzer array is sufficient to cover the instantaneous hydrogen demand during the year.
- Return type
bool
